Re: HOW TO:APE Rampage board install

Thanks for the pictures.

Installed mine today only issue I had was one of the solder points on the back of the board had too much solder on it. I had to shave a small indent on the board carrier to allow it to fit.

Worked great with no issues. Now I need to really test it out on a moving target.

I'm glad your install went well. Did my pics help you out?

When I flip it to the 2ndary fire position and pull the trigger x times, it will sometimes continue to fire even when I have let go. I might have to put the old stock trigger spring back in.

I installed mine this past weekend. Semi works fine, 3 rd bust has issues, when you press the trigger quickly it goes into full auto mode until it decides to stop. If you press and hold the trigger in 3 rd burst it works well.

Try gently pushing the leg on the trigger sensor to the left more as you are looking at the bottom of the board.

To help resolve my problem, I totally remove the plastic piece on the Right grip. I'm not sure that was the fix though. I hope to actually gas my marker up tomorrow and put some paint through it.

It's strange... When I have mine programmed for Auto response, it fires one shot on the pull and sometimes one on the release. Other times it fires 3 round burst on the release.

When i program it for Turbo + it seems to work fine.

Re: HOW TO:APE Rampage board install

Lol i was having issues with board two i took it out of the box and installed it i removed both of the notches on my grip but the trigger was so sensitive it would shoot on safety I emailed ape and they told my to try pushing the magnet back a bit on my trigger and did that but it did nothing so I did the next thing they told my to do which was to push that lead part on the sensor back which i did. At some points it would get better but would still shoot on safety but after trying to get it to work for such a long time taking it out of the grip and back in stressed the wires that connect the battery to the board and broke them so i ended up having to sent it back to ape. I think i know what the problem is now though from looking at the pictures kanuck posted. that lead wire and sensor on the side there looked different on mine the lead wire on mine was bent up facing towards the trigger when it is supposed to be facing down towards the board. Hopefully my board works when it comes back from ape.

It seems to me that the board is having a lot of problems with everyone.

Re: HOW TO:APE Rampage board install

Its funny im actually thinking about going back to my stock trigger so I don't go through so much paint like I did at I.O.N. ( 3 cases of paint there costs more then some markers)

Re: HOW TO:APE Rampage board install

When I installed mine I completely removed the tab on the right side of the grip because of the issues Kanuck was having. (Actually completely removed both tabs). I'm using the double trigger and have had no issues.

With or without paint it works fine in the following settings.
Semi
3 round burst
2 round burst
Auto Response
Full Auto

All the other settings work fine without paint with or without air applied to the marker.

I suspect that you must completely remove the tab on the right grip and not just shave it down. I know APE stated that after seeing Kanuck install pictures that he had removed enough of the tab, I still believe that the main cause of these issue is not removing the entire tab as stated in the instructions. I think the issue here is that the tab disrupts the magnetic field which causes issues when the magnet is moving through the sensor area. Causes a dead spot in the trigger movement.

Step Two — Using a razor knife, relieve this tab on the inside of the right grip clamshell to allow the trigger sensor to fit inside.

Relieve: to bring about the removal or alleviation of

They should change the instructions to read remove not relieve. IMO
