Invert Mini CP trigger install how to

I told Kanuck about getting my new CP trigger today and intentions to install it tonight. He challenged me to do a how to.So here it goes.It may not be great, but I took pics.

First pic is of my Mini, Tools and CP trigger with parts.Tools required: assorted allen wrenches, hammer and a punch of some kind.I actually used a nail countersink that I had.

First step use hammer and punch to knock out trigger pin.Make sure to punch it out from right to left.

Next step remove the grip from the marker.

Next step is to install screw and washers to hold in trigger. If you don't have skinny Kanuck fingers I suggest using some needle nose pliers or possibly something with a magnet. The two nuts go inside the trigger frame. The threaded one goes on the right and the other goes on the left.Put the rubber washer on the screw and insert the screw from the left.

This is what it should look like.

Next step is to install the pin and the spring mount in the hole behind the trigger frame. It helps here to also use needle nose pliers.

Next step is to install the spring on the spring mount and push it into the hole in the back of the trigger.Watch out for the spring because it will get away from you.

Hold the trigger down and reinstall body to grip frame.Put foregrip back on.There you have it, a nice new trigger with no side to side slop.

One word of advice.I completed the install turned on the marker with eyes turned off and nothing.I had to take it back apart and figured out the magnet was in backwards. It should repel not attract.

Nice job buddy! Rep inbound. I read it thoroughly tomorrow.

I just read through it all and like how you added the tip at the end about the magnet. It's the little stuff like that that helps the rest of us avoid headache

Nice job Sasquatch!

So the CP trigger uses a spring instead of a magnet to return the trigger? If so, how does it feel compared to the stock trigger?

The hammer in the first picture reminded me of a couple of "Whiteboard" comics. XD

Re: Invert Mini CP trigger install how to

Yes Tigar it uses the spring to return the trigger.I havent had the Mini that long, but the difference from stock is tremendous. No side to side play and it just feels more solid.I'm curious to see how it hold up over time.I'm new to space guns, so I'm a noob at walking the trigger, but with the CP I can walk it much better than stock.Maybe when Kanuck gets a new trigger we can compare the two.
