Hello everyone out there in the OG. I am considering selling my Tippmann A5 for some reasons. When I started to play paintball I played at Skirmish USA in the poconos. At skirmish its 95 percent all woodsball so everyone owned either BT's or Tippmanns. After going a couple of times I descoided to get a Tippmann A5. I like going to Skirmish USA but since the paint's $100 dollars a case its hard to go alot and not as much as I would like to and my friends feel the same. So one day I went to LVP North to check out the place and talk to the guys there. I went with my dad and he knew the guy that owned the place and he was cool. So we talked a bit and he said that since I played woodsball I should go to LVP South and he gave me 7 free admission and rental gun cards so I could go with my friends. When we went there it was speedball and woodsball. My tippmann was broken so I couldn't use it that day so I rented the SP Vibe and I really liked it. Throughout the day my friends and I played woodsball and speedball and we liked both alot. So since I really enjoyed going to LVP south and I plan to go there in the future since I liked to field better and its way cheaper then Skirmish. But since I own a A5 I can't play speedball since its a woodsball gun so this makes me want to sell it and I dont' know what to do. Advice or comments please

Re: Considering selling A5 and converting to the Dark Side
who says you cant use your A5 for speedball? i use my X7 and 98 custom for speedball and woodsball...
as for the vibe...i never owned one but my friend did and she has had nothing but problems with it...no matter what she did it would always vent the gas out the grip...she could never get a shot off because the tank would empty out the grip... now your A5 would be perfect for speedball...buy a response trigger, upgrade the cyclone and buy a better barrel and you will have a marker that will perform just as well as most speedball markers... the only downside is that the woodsball markers are slightly heavier than speedball markers which for me has never been an issue... i would keep the A5 since its a very good platforn for any version of paintball.

Re: Considering selling A5 and converting to the Dark Side
Here's an easy answer...
just sell it. Obviously your wanting a more light weight, air efficient, and faster marker. If you want the Vibe, then get the Vibe. Vibe's will work in the woods and in the airball fields so you'll be alright. Shoot smooth, low force bolt so it rarely chops and i mean rarely chops, light weight compared to the A5, 11bps cap, select fire 3 round burst-semi-full auto, the trigger is actually pretty damn good as well. $150 and in some other places $130 If you really want to up it, spend another $80 on a clamping feedneck, on/off asa and a CP barrel--- thats all you'll need Later if your not satisfied, get a blackheart kit for $99.99, comes with a new breach, Eyes, qev for better efficiency, faster/adjustable board--20bps $224.99 gets you one with the blackheart installed. I had a SP-1 which is the same as the Vibe, only difference is the body-milsim. Phenomenal marker for what its worth. |
