The company would generally state what it's made of. If you buy it from a good company, your not going to find cheat, walmart gun materials.

That being said, there arent many crapy companies making a product like this.

Pretty sure it was local market place near where we live (Perth, Australia). The shell itself is from a cheapish toy gun imported from asia, so i am sure you would be able to buy it on-line somewhere.
