Re: Theory of solution (ball breaks)
I went ahead and did minor mods before ever playing a game. The first it to strip the paint off of the making side that mates with the cyclone, then strip the hook as well. I pulled the shells apart and further stripped the paint going into the receiver.
Next I polished all the surfaces that I had stripped. See the paint used on the Phenom is rough as hell which means that whn paintballs come under stress and will rip open. so far so good. Next weekend I will see how it does in a full day of play. |

Re: Theory of solution (ball breaks)
Hello all,
I have made the mod with the plastic foil inserted between the cyclone and Phenom body and it works. It is till now the best mod that I have made for my Phenom. And it has improved the accuracy !!! My personal opinion is that the ball stays centered in front of the bolt and this improves accuracy at full auto. No ball breaks, even if I have flipped the Phenom at 90 degrees - cyclone at bottom. I will post a picture with the form of the plastic part. This post should be moved at DYI - mods... |
