Marker maintenance is just part of being an Operator. From making sure that the internals are well lubricated and clean to checking your safety equipment this is as much part of paintball as airing up and charging onto the field.
Recently my field kit included like many players out there 2 different kinds of lubricant. There was the White Lithium Grease like lubricants for the cyclone and other parts and there was ol' trusty Hoppes Number 9 oil or some other form of liquid oil for the O rings and things that you didn't want gunked in grease. I saw a thread by Pure Excess Industries asking players to try their wares. Now I was pretty content with White Lithium Grease in my cyclone and I had used the Tech T lubricant but I just couldn't justify like ten bucks to have one jar of grease shipped to my home. But what really caught my eye was the Syringe like applicator that the Pure Excess grease comes with. And the claim of the Manufacturer that it's safe to use on all O rings and on mechanical parts like those in the cyclone. Now I'm a Marine Machine Gunner so I cant begin to tell you how a Calcium based lubricant and other lubricants work. I just know that the Pure Lube stuff sticks to cyclone components well and you can see how easy it's to apply with minimum waste. As the Syringe applicator applies as much or little Lube as you need. So no more need to smear your fingers or sticks or what ever into a jug. Just presice application of the lube where it counts. It's even easier to apply the Lube on the rear bolt or hammer of my Tippmanns by just injecting a small dab and working the hammer back and forth coating the hammer in the process. I have found that the action of the marker seems smoother and I am sure that the save on wear and tear will be notisable in time to come. I have some pictures of applying lubricant to a cyclone. Just have to get that camera back and I'll up load them. All I can say about Pure Excess lube is that I plan on Picking up another tube next paycheck. I lubed an X-7 Alpha Black with cyclone Model 98 98 Custom Platinum and still have a good amount of the lube |

Re: Pure Excess Industries, Pure Lube
I too have applied it, and this stuff sticks like axle grease. I have noticed that everything slides easier, and it reduced all cyclone noise to just the "click"
After now going through a case of paint, and removing the cyclone bottom plate....the grease is exactly where I placed it. it didnt go everywhere!! I reccommend this over other lubes out there. I now use it on my bottle o-rings and threads, as well as inside where I polished my internals. My X7 is officially a "grease gun" |

Re: Pure Excess Industries, Pure Lube
After using this lube on my x7 and both my autocockers i could not be any happier with it.
Things i loved MOST about it is, 1.How well it sticks to all the parts 2. How well it lubricates all the parts. 3. The syringe applicator 4. How much lube you get with it. (i had the sample, which i have heard comes with less then the actual sale modle) 5. How it could be used to lubricate EVERYTHING. It is a great product, Made the cyclone on my x7 function very smooth! And made my bolt slide very smooth on my autocockers. |

Re: Pure Excess Industries, Pure Lube
Ok well i've used my X7 with the lube Pure Excess supplied me with and it's simply great! It works really well for orings and it stays in place unlike some greases i have tried before.
The syringe idea is great and makes sure that the lube goes where you want it and just the right amount. I think the syringe is a bit too big for the amount of lube but if the actual product comes with more then just leave it as is. Ok well as for performance my cyclone runs flawlessly with almost no sound of scraping in the qeph housing. I'm sure it would help help sustain high rates of fire as well but i haven't tried yet. It also helps the rear bolt inside. You can really fell the difference just by cocking it. Overall great product and i would recommend it to anyone for any gun. I give it a 96% |

You should get 15+ applications(A5.X7), you could get more applications you could get less. It all depends on what markers you lube and how much you apply. A5's and X7's use a bit more due to the cyclone and the RT, Dyes and the like use less due to design. 15 is a rough estimate for players who have a heavy hand lubing their stuff. |

Thanks for the review.I am glad you liked it. For the testers the syringe did not have the full amount. The retail version of Pure Lube has a FULL syringe worth of Pure Lube. |
