I am sure many of you are aware of Shooting Hot Magazine and I am sure more than a few have read both issues that have been put out online. I'd like to see if those of you who enjoy the magazine would post up and let Sideshow, Dale, and Billy know by posting up just how much you like it in this thread.

I love this magazine.

The reason is because they have fun with it. This is the only magazine that is completely devoted to the woodsball/scenerio players. Some people don't care for the "center fold" section. This is one of the fun parts that they add. The demegraphic is 24 to 54 (their #s not mine).

This is one of the only (if not only) mag that is unbias and will tell it haow it is, good or bad. They understand that the read doesn't want to hear a sale pitch about some from the company that is making the product or from the field that is being reveiwed. This mag doesn't hold back or pull any punches.

I'm looking forward to the day where the issues can be downloaded or a hard copy (cd format) is made so they can be a library created of past issues.

This is the first magazine that is by paintballers for paintballers. NO bought and paid for opinions. Straight from the hip. Not just a bunch of over publicized players because they have big sponsors. Who's opinions are based solely for their own interests...

I hope that the advertisers realise this and fully support this magazine so that we can continue to enjoy the truth. The truth about fields, games, and products. The truth about reviews, people, and current events in our game. A magazine that is meant to cover the things that are really important to players. Things like camping gear, hotels, food, as well as paintball gear. A comprehensive look at everything you need to know to make your Big Game, Scenario, or Milsim experience memorable. Not just some dictated opinions. But ones by people who really know and care about our sport.

ADVERTISERS PAY ATTENTION. This is a magazine that the industry has been needing for some time. One with honesty.


I for one am going to spend my money with a company with integrity rather than one that tries to buy peoples opinion. When I see advertisers pay some over published player to bend the truth to theirs. I loose respect. I would rather see them spend their advertising dollar on supporting a magazine who's only interest is the players. Not turning a buck.

I ask the members of this forum who agree with me on this and appreciate Shooting Hot magazine to let these companies know what you read. I for one think this is a great magazine and in it's early stages needs all the support its patrons can offer. As we all know how difficult it can be to get such a huge venture off the ground.

Great work here Billy, Dale, and Joe. You do the industry proud.

I'd like it better if they included phone numbers in the magazine....

is an american only or can i subscribe to it in canada?

The articles are both fun to read and interesting so far. Can't say that I'm all for the half naked women (Paintball and Sex appeal just don't add up for me sorry lol). Still, the magazine is great and gives some very good opinions without having to make certain companies happy or upset. You read the thoughts of players from a player's point of view!
