Actually, it was one of only two profitable Chrysler vehicles before they were bought by Fiat (The other being the Jeep Wrangler). Also, a Viper starts $30,000 more then the Corvette. $100,000 cars aren't exactly volume models.

In the realm of $100,000 cars, though, it sold GREAT.

The Viper was discontinued for a year because Chrysler just didn't have the money to re-engineer it properly for 2011. Rather then producing a half-assed warmover with the already-overburdened engineering team (Every single Chrysler model except the Dodge Caliber and Jeep Liberty have been substantially overhauled for 2011), they're taking their time.

You guys stick to your muscle cars. They're the second coolest cars out there. Aside from Japanese concept cars. They had a 2009 Dodge Challenger looking vehicle out in 1969
